Head Coach Mildred Cheche is confident in her team’s preparedness ahead of the qualifiers stating that she has all the players she had called in camp.
“I think we are prepared because most of our players have been competing at the highest level locally so hopefully they’ll rise up to the task ahead, so I am hopeful we have a great team that is going to play well,” Cheche is quoted by the Federations portal.
After the two legs, the winner of the tie on aggregate will proceed to the fourth and final round, where they will face either Djibouti or Burundi. Following this match, the victor secures an automatic qualification to the 2024 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in October, to be held in the Dominican Republic
The team is scheduled to travel to Ethiopia on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at a time when the squad is expected to have been trimmed
