Esse Akida has just won a double with AC PAOK with Greece but the Harambee Starlets attacker is already looking for more.
Having signed a one-year extension deal with the Thessaloniki side at the start of the season, her contract with the club will be up at the end of June 2024 and she isn’t committing to signing a new deal with the Greek Women Premier League giants.

“We shall see what happens after June,” Akida says when asked if she will be continuing with the club. “I enjoyed my time here and currently my aim is to finish the season strongly. I still feel strong and I want to win more trophies.”
On the season, the former Thika Queens player says she has enjoyed herself and the fact that they won a double is proof enough of her statements.
“I enjoyed this season because I saw a different level of football from other teams. When I arrived here we would glide past teams easily but I have seen improvements from our opponents meaning the league is growing in terms of competition. We have won a double and I couldn’t have hoped for a better season,” she added.
After winning the league title a fortnight ago, PAOK beat AEK 5-4 in post-match penalties on Wednesday after a 1-1 draw in regular time to lift the Greek Women’s Cup.
