During the opening of the course, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) vice president, Doris Petra giving reference on the impact of the courses on women’s football lauded the U17 girls for their U17 World Cup qualifiers exploits as the team is one match away from potentially qualifying for the first world cup and was sure to give mention to the current technical bench led by coaches Mildred Cheche and Anne Aluoch as beneficiaries of coaching courses.
“FKF made a decision to train coaches because we knew there was a gap in the number of trained coaches available and the grassroots level needed people with knowledge to develop players from an early age,” she said as quoted by the Federation’s portal.
The course, which is the 5th CAF B course that has been run by this current administration, will run for four months under the tutelage of coaches Salim Ali and Leonard Odipo.
