The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Ivory Coast officials to oversee the Kenya Women’s U17 National team, Junior Starlets FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifier against Burundi on Sunday.

The match has been scheduled for Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Ulinzi Sports Complex, Langata starting at 3 pm with Kenya already leading 3-0 from the first leg tie staged over the weekend in Ethiopia.

CAF has tasked Natacha Gérardine Konan as the center referee with her first and second assistants being Lou Djenan Prisca Danielle TA and Ndeko Edwige Appia all from Ivory Coast. The Fourth Official of the tie will be Zomadre Sonia Kore Tanzania’s Somoe Robert Ng’itu being the Match Commissioner; The Referee Assessor will be Fransiska Katjaimo from Namibia.

In a bid to rally support for the home team as they stand on the verge of history, the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has waived gate charges for the match; a win here seeing the Junior Starlets being the first team to make it to a World Cup Tournament.

Opponents Burundi arrived on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 1:30 pm with the match officials expected to arrive in the country by Friday, June 14, 2024.
