The Tanzania women’s national team, Twiga Stars, will play Tunisia and Botswana in two friendlies during the FIFA Women’s window break.
The games have been scheduled to take place in Tunis between July 11 -16 as coach Bakari Nyundo Shime works on building a formidable team for future International assignments.
Nyundo has called up to seven professional players in the team with the contingent led by captain Oppa Clement Tukumbuke who plies her trade in Turkey with Besiktas. Others are Diana Lucas (Ame S.F.K, Turkey), Maimuna Kaimu (ZED FC, Egypt), Clara Luvanga (Al Nasi FC, Saudi Arabia), Aisha Masaka (BK Hacken, Sweden), Juletha Singano (Juarez, Mexico, Enekia Kasonga (Eastern Flames, Saudi Arabia)
In February this year the Twiga Stars were eliminated by South Africa in the third round of the Paris Olympic qualifiers as Zambia and Nigeria went on to book the two slots for Africa.
