The Kenya Under 17 Women’s Football team, Junior Starlets, beat CF Intercity Femenino 4-1 in a friendly match held on Monday, September 30, 2024, at the Albir Grounds, Spain.
Starlets have been camping in the European country as they prepare to make their debut in the World Cup and they have left nothing to chance.

In the tie, Valerine Nekesa gave Mildred Cheche’s side the lead in the 18th minute but their opponents were to level scores just before halftime.
The Kenyan side came back stronger in the second half with Quinter Odiwuor regaining their lead before Lorna Faith making it three just six minutes to full-time. Valencia Joy Angela added the fourth to put the gloss on the score line.
The team will now leave for the Dominican Republic on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, where they will play their final friendly against the host nation as part of their continued preparation for the showpiece set to kick off on October 16, 2024, to November 3, 2024.
In the Starlets group, they will open their campaign against England on October 18, Korea DPR on October 20, and against Mexico on October 24, 2024.
