Speaking after the game Shikangwa revealed that she was looking to bag the top scorers gong this season and was confident she will achieve the feat after the return of strike partner Aisha.

“Aisha is back (from injury) and I’m confident that our partnership will thrive. She is someone who understands me and I think that we will score a lot of goals because we know how to change positions when we are in attack. I aim to win the Golden Boot and I believe with Aisha back, I will achieve that,” Shikangwa said after the game.

On the tie, the former Vihiga Queens attacker added,” We didn’t study our opponents before the game and I think they set a lot of offside traps in the first half that prevented us from scoring a lot of goals. We discussed that at halftime and I think that’s why we scored more goals in the second half.”

With the win, Simba consolidated their position on top of the table with 28 points having not lost any with their closest challengers JKT now five points behind though they have played a game less.
