Beldine Odemba, the Harambee Starlets head coach, has named a 36-player provisional squad for the upcoming two-legged 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers against Tunisia.

The first leg of the qualifiers will be hosted in Nairobi on Friday, February 21, 2025, before the team travels to Tunis for the return fixture on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

In the team, Odemba has called up to eleven new faces among them being goalkeepers Vivian Shiyonzo (Kibera Soccer Girls) and Lavender Abongo (KISPED Queens). The new faces in defence include Benedete Atieno (KISPED Queens), Alice Mideri (Vihiga Queens) and Tabitha Amoit (Ulinzi Starlets) so is Mary Nthambi (Kenya Police Bullets), and Janet Mumo (Kibera Soccer Girls).

Yvonne Idagiza (Kibera Soccer Girls) is the new face in midfield while in attack Faith Mboya (Kibera Soccer Girls), Catherine Khaemba (Bungoma Queens) and Emily Moranga (Kenya Police Bullets) make their maiden entry.

Meanwhile, Leila Apiyo and Martha Amunyolet make their return to the national team after a long absence.

The squad is expected to report to camp on Monday, February 10, 2025, as they begin preparations for the crucial qualifiers.
