The Kenya U-17 Ladies team, Junior Starlets, beat Morocco 2-0 in a friendly match staged in Rabat on Monday evening.

Having held the host nation to a 1-1 draw last week, Kenya was to score her goals through Elizabeth Ochaka and Mitchelle Waithera to finish their tour of Morocco with a win.

In the earlier friendly against the North African nation, Ochaka gave the Junior Starlets the lead after 60 minutes, but the hosts leveled matters through Mayssa Baha 13 minutes later.

Attention for the Mildred Cheche charges now shifts to the FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, where they are scheduled to take on Cameroon in the last round of the qualifiers, with the first leg of the tie set for 18th April 2025 at Nyayo Stadium.

The Junior Starlets defeated neighbours Uganda 5-0 on aggregate in the second round of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers and are seeking to book a place in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup for the second consecutive time.
