Harambee Starlets first choice goalkeeper Lilian Onyango has signed a new one-year deal with Romania Women top flight side Farul Constanta.
Onyango who was part of the Starlets team that finished second in the just concluded CECAFA Women’s Championship joined the club in 2024 and has been a key player for them as they won the title in two consecutive seasons.

Speaking after signing the new deal, Awuor whose team will now play in next season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League from the preliminary stage and can’t wait to be involved.
“Since I arrived here, Farul has been a well-organized club, very involved in the development of women’s football, and I think the results speak best. We dominated the last championship with authority, we were undefeated, and this is due to the very good team and especially to the extraordinary conditions we have: training, recovery, nutrition, practically the same as at the big European clubs.
“Now we will play again in the Champions League, a new challenge and I am impatient to be there again,” Awuor told the club’s media team.
The former Nyakach Girls shot stopper was named the best goalkeeper in the league last season and plays in the same team with Enez Mango who has been a consistent figure in the Harambee Starlets backline.
