Harambee Starlets striker Violet Nanjala has sealed a move to Saudi Arabia second tier side United Eagles WFC.

The player has been a free agent since leaving Moroccan club Association Municipale de Laâyoune (AMLFF) on 31 August.

Taking to social media to announce her new move, Wanjala wrote, “Delighted to have completed my move to United. Looking forward in another spell of success in the Saudi league and itching to give my best and achieve new heights.”

Founded in 2016, the club started as a team of college girls and their teachers before being enlisted in 2022 as one of 17 teams spread across three regions and took part in the country’s new First Division League.

The league, after modification, consisted of nine teams last season, with the competition being held in a full league format (home and away).

They finished fifth last season after 16 rounds and begins their new campaign on Friday, 26 September against Najamat Jeddah at King Abdula Aziz University Stadium (Jeddah).

The former Vihiga Queens goal poarche will be hoping that she can replicate her last season in Morocco where she emerged as the top scorer in the Botola Women Pro League with 28 goals.
