Kayole Starlets head coach Mary Adhiambo believes they can build on their second half display against Kenya Police Bullets in the coming games.

Starlets began life in the FKF Women Premier League with a 2-1 loss to Police but according to Adhiambo, they had a brilliant second half which will form a basis of their blueprint in their second tie of the season.

Speaking after the game, Adhiambo said, “I am happy because we have played our first game in the top flight but unhappy that we didn’t get the required result. We’ve lost by one goal and what pains me is that it was an own goal. We started our preseason late but Im happy with how we played especially in the second half where I can say our substitutes played a key role. We will build on that second half display heading into our next game.

The tactician further revealed that they have to work on their fitness levels as they had started their preseason late.

“We had issues with our fitness level in our first game because we started our preseason preparations late but I know we will be good in the coming games as we will have time to restructure in the forthcoming FIFA International break,” she added.

Kayole travels to Homabay to face Gideon Starlets in their next game on Saturday 11th October 2025.
