Sven Yidah is already looking for a brilliant season after returning to Nairobi City Stars in the just closed transfer window.

The combative midfielder’s first stint with the Kawangware-based side came at the start of the 2020/21 season from Kariobangi Sharks before leaving after two seasons to join South Africa Premiership side Marumo Gallants.

Speaking to the club’s portal ahead of his second debut for the team, Yidah said: “I am happy to be back ‘home’ after a few seasons out. I have found a number of changes from the squad I left behind and my immediate task is to blend in with the new team. Together, I look forward to a brilliant season.”

On his side, head coach Nicholas Muyoti believes the player will bring the needed experience to the team as they seek to bet last season’s performances.

 “City Stars is elated to have Sven back. He left our stable on a good note for greener pastures and he is welcome back home. He brings experience, leadership, and punch to our midfield. We do believe that he, and the team, will have a good season,” added Muyoti.

In his first stint, Sven who has been handed jersey 3 in his second stint featured in 59 of 68 games where he scored three goals and provided five assists.
