Nairobi United began their CAF Confederation Cup group games with a 3-0 loss to Wydad Athletic Club in a clash staged in Casablanca on Sunday 23rd November 2025.

United had a worse start at the Stade Larbi Zouali in Casablanca when they went behind just after three minutes when Ayoub Boucheta’s powerful strike set the tone for the hosts.

From the onset, the match proved to be a one way affair with the hosts being on the offensive for the entire match against their overwhelmed visitors. They were to double their lead through Mohamed Bouchouari’s excellent long distance shot just before halftime for a 2-0 lead at the break.

The match settled down after halftime with the hosts content to dominate possession and play the victory out. Outside of a couple of hopeful efforts from distance, the visitors from Kenya failed to pose any sort of threat and WAC added one more goal late on when Walid Sabbar set up fellow substitute Mohamed Rayhi for a clever finish over goalkeeper Kevin Oduor.

The Morrocan side will look to take full control of Group B on Friday when they travel to Zanzibar to face Tanzanian club Azam FC on a weekend that will see Nairobi United host DR Congo’s AS Maniema Union.
