FKF Premier League giants Gor Mahia will take on their Tanzania counterparts Simba SC in a pre-season friendly match in October.
The game will be used to mark celebrations of Simba Day on September 10 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam where hosts Simba is expected to unveil their new players.

“We will play Kenya record champions Gor Mahia to celebrate Simba Day on Wednesday, September 10 at Mkapa Stadium,” Simba SC media officer Ahmed Ally told reporters. “We settled on Gor Mahia because we know they can give us the test we want as we prepare for the new season.”
Gor Mahia on their end announced the same on their social media saying, “We will play a friendly match against Tanzania’s Simba SC on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 in Dar es Salaam.”
Its not only Gor Mahia who will be in Tanzania for preseason next month. Bandari FC will be up against Young Africans (SC) on September 12 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam; the Kenyan team will arrive in Tanzania on August 30 to begin a pre-season camp.
Shabana FC, another Kenyan team, has invited Pamba Jiji in Kenya for their day; Jiji having had a good contingent of Kenyans with their head coach Francis Barza leading the pack.
