Former Harambee Stars Head Coach Jacob “Ghost” Mulei has expressed confidence in Kenya’s ability to excel in the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.

After the official draw, held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Mulee shared his optimism about the team’s prospects despite being placed in a challenging group.

Kenya will face Morocco, DR Congo, Zambia, and Angola in what many call the “group of death.” However, Mulei remains unfazed by the tough draw and believes the team can rise to the occasion with the right support.

“As I have said before, Harambee Stars play best under pressure. The fans should come out and motivate the team when CHAN kicks off. The 12th man is very important, and we’ve not played at home for a very long time. Let’s fill the stadiums and remain positive. We can win the group and even go all the way to win the tournament,” Mulei said.

Mulei’s comments come at a time when Kenya is set to co-host a major continental tournament for the first time in years alongside Tanzania and Uganda the three countries will have the advantage of home-ground familiarity but will need to deliver strong performances to advance in the competition.
