Harambee Stars trio of Joshua Onyango, Duke Abuya and Elvis Rupia will now represent Singida Black Stars Sports Club and not Ihefu Sports Club after a change of name.

The trio moved to Ihefu earlier this year after Singida Big Stars changed their management where the former absorbed most of its players. According to the club in a statement by Executive Director Muhibu Kanu, the move has been necessitated by their dream of improving the talent in Tanzania.

The club also confirmed that they were moving their base from the outskirts of Mbeya to Singida where they aim to help clubs around the region move in one direction.

The management of Ihefu Sports Club who had transferred the club’s base from Mbeya to Singida has done a change of the team’s name from Ihefu Sports Club to Singida Black Stars Sports Club.

The aim and dreams of changing the name is in line with our dreams of having every team and the citizens of Singida to move in one direction. The processes of registering the new name have already been approved by the country’s registration regulators the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) and BMT.

Singida Black Stars SC has an aims to unearth, retain and improve the talents of the youths in the country to lift their lives and realize their dreams through their talents.

It is our hope that we will continue to liaise with all the football stakeholders to better the football standards of our country (Tanzania).
