Harambee Stars defender Collins Sichenje is frustrated by lack of playing time at Swedish side AIK.
The former AFC Leopards defender had picked an injury prior to the preseason camp but is back fit and gearing to go even though reports have emerged that he isn’t being played since the club wants to cash on his replacement Ahmad Faqa.

Faqa, who was loaned out last summer, has returned to his parent club and according to Fotboldirekt, there are clubs who have shown interest in the 21-year-old and he is expected to move in this summer.
Sichenje who has not played any part in AIK’s league games this season aired his frustration to Fotboll Sthlm where he said: “If I don’t get the chance (to play), I have to leave”.
AIK signed the defender from FKF Premier League side AFC Leopards ahead of the 2022 season and went on to make a total of eight Allsvenskan matches in his debut season, half of which were from the start. Last year he was loaned out to Finnish club Kuopio Palloseura (KuPS), where he made 20 appearances in the league and was crowned as the young player of the season.
Before the new season began, Sichenje was linked with AIK rivals Mjällby but the reports were denied by the club’s sports manager Hasse Larsson. While the player is frustrated, FotbollDirekt states that the player might leave in the summer again but on another loan deal as AIK doesn’t want to lose him now.
The report states that AIK is looking for a club in Norway where they can loan the player whose contract with them ends in the summer of 2026.
