FC Barcelona thumped FC Seoul 7-3 in a preseason friendly staged on Thursday afternoon.

It took less than 10 minutes for the La Liga giants to open the scoring at the Seoul World Cup Stadium as Lamine Yamal’s effort hit the post before Robert Lewandowski fired home the rebound.

Then, Yamal got on the scoresheet himself as he unleashed a shot from outside the box that squeezed into the bottom corner. It wasn’t a straightforward win for Barcelona, however, as Seoul fought their way back to 2-2 before the break, courtesy of goals from Young-wook Cho and Yazan Al-Arab.

Yamal restored their lead on the brink of half-time, however, as he made a dangerous run in behind the Seoul defence, before cutting inside and drilling an effort into the top corner.

In the second half, Andreas Christensen added Barça’s fourth of the game with another long-range effort from outside of the box. Then, with roughly 15 minutes left to play, substitutes Ferran Torres and Gavi scored their fifth and sixth in quick succession.

The hosts pulled another goal back late in the game, but Barcelona quickly made it seven as Torres bagged a brace following an assist from fellow substitute Marcus Rashford.
