Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards both registered wins as the FKF Premier League continued on Sunday 17th December on grounds across the country.

Leopards who were hosting Kakamega Homeboyz at the Nyayo Stadium ran 2-0 winners with their goals coming from Clifton Miheso and Hassan Beja.

The hosts had to wait until the 32nd minute when Miheso gave them the lead from the penalty spot after Cliff Nyakeya had been brought down in the opposition box with Beja doubling their lead five minutes later after Homeboyz defence had gone napping.

The same result was recorded at the Bukhungu Grounds where Gor Mahia took on FC Talanta from 3pm. Talanta who had ditched their Nairobi base for Kakamega did just well to contain Gor to a goalless draw in the first half but their rearguard was broken by Boniface Omondi in the 57th minute before Austin Odhiambo ensured the points were safe seven minutes after the hour mark.

In other games of the day, drama was witnessed at the Sudi Grounds where Tusker FC emerged 2-0 winners over Nzoia Sugar FC.

Mike Oduor and Chris Erambo had given the brewers a 2-0 lead at half time and things went from bad to worse for the hosts when substitute keeper Brian Opondo was sent off for handling Eric Kapaito’s ball outside the box. The home fans then went on a rampage by throwing projectiles on the field of play after the setback with the game stopped for some time to calm the situation. When the game resumed, no side was to see the better of the other despite Kapaito having a late goal ruled out for offside.

At the Ulinzi Complex, visitors Nairobi City Stars came from a goal down to beat hosts Ulinzi Stars 2-1. The on-form Boniface Muchiri had given Ulinzi a half time lead after connecting to an Enosh Ochieng cross. Vincent Otieno drew City Stars leveled in the 62nd minute before Dennis Oalo popped up with the winner four minutes after coming on from the bench.
