Bandari had done everything right to keep their visitors at bay but couldn’t stop Marvin Nabwire from slotting in stoppage time after the former AFC Leopards man latched onto a cross from Jesse Were and calmly slotted the ball past Shikhalo to seal the win.
With the win, Police are now on 58 points after 30 rounds with four matches left for play with Bandari now in eighth place with 40 points with four games left to play.
In other matches of the day, Shabana FC had Keith Imbali to thank as his sol strike in the second half was all they needed to edge KCB FC in a game played at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.
Nairobi City Stars on the other hand boosted their survival chances by overcoming Mara Sugar FC 3-2 where they overcome a late pressure from the newbies to pick all the points. The win sees City Stars clock 27 points and although they are still bottom, they are just two points off 16th placed Murang’a Seal.
