KCB FC head coach Robert Matano is bullish ahead of their Sportpesa League opener against Tusker FC at the MISC Kasarani on Friday.
Matano will be up against his former employers and believes they have what it takes to win the game despite missing three players for the opener.

“The moos in the camp has been okay, the moral is high and the boys are ready for the game,” Matano told the club’s media team. “We have three players who are out with injuries but the rest are okay. We have capable players for the match.”
Asked if he felt the game will play a huge role in determining how their season will fair, Matano claimed their opener won’t be a determinant and is only focused in playing a game at a time as he works in winning most of their games.
“It wont determine (how KCB season will fair) but we need to win nearly all our games. Every match to us is a final. We won’t take Tusker lightly but we will be going all out for the points,” he added.
In his tenure as the Tusker FC boss, Matano didn’t lose to KCB but his new club doesn’t have an impressive record against Tusker where they have only won once in their last five meetings; Tusker beating them in three.
