AFC Leopards’ search for a first win of the 2025/26 Sportpesa Premier League season continues after being held to a goalless draw by Bandari FC in a game played at the MISC Kasarani Stadium on Wednesday, 15 October.
The draw ensured Leopards remain unbeaten but winless in three matches of the season and marked Bandari’s new head coach, Mohamed Borji’s first point in charge in what was their fifth point of the season.
AFC Leopards started brightly and nearly went ahead within the opening ten minutes. Tyson Otieno connected well to Samuel Sseeyonjo’s cross but failed to convert from close range. Sseeyonjo also came close moments later, but his effort went inches wide.

Bandari’s Ugandan forward William Wadri also tested Leopards’ goalkeeper Alain Ngeleka with a shot after combining with Amza Ngamchia, but Ngeleka pulled a save. Harambee Stars forward David Sakwa also tried his luck from the edge of the penalty area, but his attempt was blocked by Kennedy Owino. The first half ended in a tense battle, with neither side managing to score as they went into the break tied at 0–0.
In the second half, Leopards resumed high spirits with Kelly Madada coming close to breaking the deadlock, but his attempt rolled wide past Ngeleka. Bandari responded almost immediately, Amza Ngamchia, coming close to scoring, but his volley drifted wide of the target. Coach Ambani introduced substitutes in a bid to inject more attacking power and stability.

Both teams pressed for a goal but neither could find a breakthrough as the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
Meanwhile, at St. Sebastian Park, Sofapaka recorded a 2-1 win over Muranga Seal. Sofapaka came into the tie sitting in 17th place with only 1 point from three games, and the earlier exchanges suggested that they were in for a fight.
Andrew Waswa drew the first attempt for the Batoto ba Mungu in the 21st minute, but his shot went straight at the hands of Muranga Seal goalkeeper. Sofapaka were lucky in the 23rd minute when Adrian Oloo scored his debut goal to give them the lead.
