“Tusker FC is delighted to announce that our assistant captain, Michael Kibwage, has committed his future to the club by extending his contract,” the club said in a statement. “This extension underscores Kibwage’s dedication and continued contribution to the team’s success.”
The club’s interim coach Charles Okere said of the deal, “We are thrilled that Kibwage has decided to continue his journey with us. His experience and leadership are invaluable assets to the team. He is a very key member of our team not just on the pitch but off it as well. He was a player we could not afford to lose. We look forward to achieving new milestones together.”
The club’s CEO Sam Nzau added; “Kibwage is a key member of the team. Most of the young players look up to him and the leadership he gives in the dressing room is exceptional. He is a pillar of the team we are building and I am excited that he has agreed to continue the journey with us.”
On his side, the player said; “I am excited to extend my time with Tusker FC. This club has been like a family to me, and I am eager to contribute to our future successes and support the team in every way I can.”
Kibwage clocked the most minutes for Tusker last season and will be hoping for better outing in the current campaign as they fight to wrestle the title from Gor Mahia.
