“I feel stronger and better now, and I know if I keep working hard, I’ll get another opportunity to join a bigger club abroad. That’s always been the dream for any footballer, and I’m no different,” Abud said.
Abud had short stints with Thika United, Bandari and Sofapaka FC earlier in his career before moving to Tusker FC where he was to leave for his first professional journey by joining Penegialios of Greece.
A good outing in Greece saw him snapped by Bulgaria giants Slavia Sofia in 2026 before moving to Belgium where he made a name with Cercle Brugge. Romania’s Sepsi OSK signed him in 2019 but the player returned to Greece a year later where he signed for Ionikos Nikeas.
A short stint with AE Larisa followed for a year before the defender returned to the Kenyan top flight in July 2022 where he signed for Police FC.
