Marcus Rashford has joined FC Barcelona on a season-long loan from Premier League side Manchester United.
The deal gives Barca the option to buy the England international at the end of the season if he can impress with his future at United said to be irredeemable after falling out with manager Ruben Amorim.

“Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has joined Barcelona on loan for the duration of the 2025/26 season,” a statement from United noted. “Since making his Reds debut in 2016, the 27-year-old Academy graduate has registered 426 appearances, scored 138 goals and lifted five major trophies.”
“Marcus spent the second half of last season on loan with Premier League side Aston Villa, where he played 17 times and tallied 10 goal involvements across all competitions. The England international has now agreed a temporary move to Spanish giants Barcelona.

Barcelona will cover the entirety of Rashford’s wages during his time at the club after the forward agreed to take a pay cut.
The England international who trained with his new team-mates for the first time on Tuesday and is expected to be included in the squad that travels to Japan for a pre-season tour of Asia on Thursday will wear jersey number 14.
