Mathare United overcame Sofapaka with Mara Sugar extending their unbeaten streak against Shabana FC to three game in games played earlier on Wednesday 17th December 2025.
Mathare were 1-0 winners over Sofapaka with the Ezekiel Akwana side now winless in six games as they remain second from bottom in the league; their match on Wednesday staged at the Kasarani Annex.

The Slum Boys had Dennis Okoth who scored the only goal 13 minutes after resumptions after tapping in a low cross from John Nyawir. It was their fifth win of the season with the result sending them to tenth on the log with 18 points.
The loss will be a dent in Sofapaka journey after it emerged that the team are in disarray after Akwana sent his goalkeeper trainer Wilson Obungu on a forced leave following their weekend loss to Tusker.
Elsewhere at Gusii Stadium, Shabana were made to wait for their first league win in the Kenyan top flight against Mara Sugar after their visitors held them to goalless draw.
The draw left Shabana on 7th spot with 20 points with Mara just two points below them in the 9th spot as the race for the title heats up.
