Victor Wanyama and Alfred Scriven both featured for their respective teams on Thursday in Canada and Norway respectively.
Wanyama who was handed a rare start completed 58 minutes as Montreal Impact went 1-3 down to Columbus Crew in an MLS game staged at the Stade Saputo, Montreal.

Visitors Columbus took a 19th-minute lead through Arfsten but Choiniere ensured both teams headed for the halftime break tied on a 1-1 draw after restoring parity from the penalty spot. Columbus however regained their lead 14 minutes after the break through Rossi with Hinestroza ensuring that the points were safe with a third goal a minute from time.
The loss leaves Montreal at 13th place with 12 points with Columbus rising to 7th with 18 points.
In Norway, it was another loss for a Kenyan as Bryne went 1-2 down to Sandnes ULF in the country’s second tier.
Scriven featured for Bryne in the entire game as he watched their hosts take a 7th-minute lead through Aanesland. While they managed to equalize in the 65th minute through Saunes, Hoiland’s goal for the hosts three minutes later proved to be the difference at full-time.
