Kenyan striker Mathew Tegisi and his Singida Black Stars teammates have discovered their potential opponents for the 2026/27 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup group stage following Wednesday’s draw in Cairo, Egypt.
The Tanzanian outfit has been placed in Group C alongside DR Congo’s Maniema Union, Zambia’s Red Arrows and one of three teams yet to be confirmed: Algeria’s CR Belouizdad, Mauritania’s AS Douanes or Guinea’s Hafia.

Tegisi whose side denied Tusker FC a chance in the competition in the second and last preliminary round will be hoping to play a key role as the club seeks to make an impression on the continental stage.
CR Belouizdad, AS Douanes and Hafia are competing for the remaining slot, meaning Singida will have to wait for the conclusion of the qualification process to learn the identity of its final group-stage opponent.
The draw has also produced several intriguing matchups across the competition. Group A features Egyptian giants Al Ahly, Morocco’s Raja Casablanca, Togo’s ASKO Kara and Angola’s Primeiro Agosto.
In Group B, Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces will face Tanzanian side Azam FC, Libya’s Al Ahly Tripoli and South Africa’s Durban City.
Group D brings together Algeria’s USM Alger, Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien, Mozambique’s Black Bulls and Mali’s Real Bamako.
