Ulinzi Starlets will be up against Nakuru City Queens in the FKF Women’s Cup final following wins over Kisumu Allstarlets and Kibera Soccer respectively in the competition’s semis staged on Wednesday.
Nakuru beat Kibera Soccer Ladies 3-2 in the first semi-finals of the day in an entertaining match watched by a handful of fans. Being the hosts, Mulindi Melon gave the Queens a second-minute lead but Nancy Atako leveled matters at the tail end of the first half.

Queens extended their lead with goals from Muteshi Elizabeth and Salano Jael but Atako pulled one back again for Kibera with ten minutes remaining on the clock but the hosts were able to see off the game for a place in the final.
In the second semifinals, defending Champions Ulinzi Starlets secured a 3-0 victory over Kisumu Allstarlets in a game that saw Fasila Adhiambo grab a first-half brace before Mary Ojenge ensured the final spot was secured with a goal deep in stoppage time.

While Ulinzi Starlets and Nakuru City Queens prepare to battle it out for the trophy, Kisumu All Starlets and Kibera Soccer Ladies will compete in the 3rd place playoff match.
The FKF Women’s Cup final will take place on Sunday, June 4th, 2023.
