Uganda’s Kampala Queens bounced back from their opening day loss to Kenya Police Bullets FC by overcoming Dended 7-0 in a match played at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday.

The Ugandans opened the goal scoring floodgates just after four minutes through Kamiyati Naigaga with Tourist Lema Tone doubling their lead four minutes later.

At the half hour mark Peace Muduwa made it three for the Queens to put them in a comfortable lead heading into the half time break.

Muduwa bagged her brace in the 46th minute and in a minute later, Lema also grabbed her brace. Kayita bagged a six in the 56th minute with Zaituna Namaganda pounced on a loose ball to make it 7 for Kampala Queens 13 minutes from time.

Eritrea’s Denden FC Coach shared that he didn’t expect it would be such a difficult match but he is happy the progress in Eritrean Women Football noting that it is the first time a Women Club from Eritrea gets to participate in an international tournament.

With the heavy win, Queens are now second in Group A behind Kenya Police Bullets all with 3 points the latter topping courtesy of head to head advantage and with a game in hand.

The winner of Group A faces the runner up in group C while Group B leader faces the best loser among Group A, B and C.
