Newly appointed Kenya Police Bullets head coach David Vijago wasn’t impressed by his team’s display despite winning their first game of the season.
Police began their title defence with a 2-1 win over debutants Kayole Starlets after soaking pressure for the better parts of the second half and according to Vijago, he had only been with the team for four days.

“It wasn’t a good game and I knew it wasn’t going to be easy because I have been with this team for just four days of training. We are still instilling a new type of football that I feel will take time with the girls but we should be able to play better after the FIFA break that is ahead of us,” he said after the match.
Vijago who joined the Bullets from Kibera Soccer Women, where he guided the side to their first-ever FKF Women’s Cup triumph earlier this year, believes the four weeks’ break will be enough for him to put his charges in order.
“The four-week break will be crucial as I now have a clue on what to work on. Our aim is to take the chance we create and work on not conceding in games,” he added.
Attention for the tactician and the team now shifts in the next game where they are scheduled to take Zetech Sparks who overcame Kisped 2-1 in their opening game.
