The accident is the second incident in a span of four days after four Gor Mahia players were involved in an accident last Friday on their way to training too.

The quartet Austin Odhiambo, Felix Oluoch, Fidel Origa and Joshua Onyango were granted a two day off after being discharged with minor injuries and returned to training on Monday ahead of the highly anticipated clash against arch rivals AFC Leopards.

“We are thankful to God that all the boys who got involved in the accident are healthy,” said head coach Charles Akonnor after receiving the quartet back in training. “Today was their first day back in training and everyone is in good shape. It was a situation that could have taken someone out of the squad but we are set and very ready as we prepare for the upcoming match.”

Morisson has been a key figure for Gor Mahia this season and missing him will be a big blow for Kogallo who are looking to extend their lead at the top of the table.

The club is expected to give a comprehensive report on the player and his availability for the derby in due time.
