Harambee Stars midfielder Alwyn Tera was on the scoresheet as Ararat Armenia were held to a 1-1 draw by West Armenia in the Armenia Premier League on Wednesday night.

Tera had given Ararat a 37th-minute lead and the home side was headed for three glorious points before Metoyan ensured that the visitors got a point with a goal three minutes from time.

While Tera scored, the Kenyan had started from the bench but midfielder Amos Nondi started the clash with the result seeing them maintain their third place with 46 points, just three points below leaders Pyunik with both teams having played 22 games.

The Kenyans will be hoping that they can have more game time when they host Van in another Premier League on Sunday 3rd March 2024.

On the same day, midfielder Eric Omondi managed 86 minutes as UTA Arad went 4-1 down away to Rapid Bucuresti in the Romania Premier League.

An Albion Rrahmani brace and a goal apiece from Badescu and Bumaz ensured that Micovschi’s 44th-minute strike was a mere consolation with the win seeing Bucuresti moving to second on the log with 51 points.

The loss leaves Arad placed eighth with 37 points after 28 games.
