Kenya Police Bullets Win Third Straight Women’s Premier League Title

Kenya Police Bullets were crowned FKF Women Premier League champions for the third consecutive season after edging Trinity Starlets 1-0 in a tense encounter played at the Trinity Complex on Sunday.

The victory saw the Law Enforcers make history as the first Kenyan women’s team to win three league titles in their opening three seasons in the top flight.

Police entered the fixture leading the standings with 46 points, two ahead of Ulinzi Starlets, who had already played an extra match. A win was therefore enough to confirm the championship with one game left to play.

Trinity Starlets, meanwhile, were equally motivated as they sought to strengthen their chances of finishing third while also hoping to delay Police’s title celebrations.

The contest remained closely balanced for much of the first half, with clear-cut opportunities limited as both sides struggled to break each other down. The decisive moment eventually arrived in the 40th minute when Margaret Kunihira calmly converted from the penalty spot to hand Police the lead.

That goal proved enough to separate the two teams at the final whistle as Police held firm to complete another successful league campaign.
