Swedish giants AIK have rewarded Harambee Stars midfielder Stanley Wilson with a new long-term contract that will keep him at the club until December 2029.
The 19-year-old Kenyan has enjoyed a remarkable rise since joining AIK from Kariobangi Sharks in August 2024, with the club citing his rapid development and growing influence in the first team as key reasons behind the extension.

“It is fantastic that we have agreed on a contract extension with Stanley. He has surprised everyone with his development during the season and has already taken a role in the team,” AIK Head of Recruitment Miika Takkula said in a statement.
Wilson, who has featured in 18 competitive matches for the Stockholm-based side and registered two assists, expressed his delight at extending his stay.
“I am proud to extend my contract with AIK. It is inspiring to continue being part of this fantastic club and I look forward to helping the club achieve its goals,” he said.
The midfielder first caught AIK’s attention during a trial stint in early 2024 before earning a permanent deal later that year. After gaining experience on loan at Enköpings SK in 2025, Wilson returned to establish himself under head coach José Riveiro.
His impressive performances have seen him become a regular starter this season, underlining his growing reputation as one of Kenya’s most promising young talents.
Wilson has also represented Harambee Stars, making his senior debut at the 2024 COSAFA Cup and earning several call-ups to the national team setup. He is currently with the Stars squad in South Africa where they are set to face Lesotho.
