England captain Harry Kane has committed his future to Bayern Munich after signing a contract extension that will keep him at the German champions until 2029.

The 33-year-old striker was entering the final year of his contract, having joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in an £86 million move in 2023.

Kane has enjoyed a remarkable spell in Germany, scoring 102 goals in 102 Bundesliga appearances, winning two league titles and three successive Golden Boot awards. He also netted a club-record 61 goals in 51 matches last season as Bayern secured a league and cup double.

“I feel right at home at FC Bayern. I love the club, the fans and the city of Munich,” Kane said.

The new deal will keep the striker at the Allianz Arena until shortly before his 36th birthday, making a return to the Premier League less likely as he continues his pursuit of Alan Shearer’s record of 260 goals. Kane is currently 47 goals short.

He has scored 156 goals in 161 appearances for Bayern across all competitions.

The England record scorer has also won five major trophies with the Bavarian giants since arriving in Germany, having previously gone without a major club or international honour.
