Mzee, who joined City Stars pre-2023-24 FKF Premier League season from second-tier side Kibera Black Stars, leaves at the midway point of his one-season deal despite team coordinator Samson Otieno confirming that he was part of their plans this season.
“Mzee arrived and fitted in very well to our setup in the current season. Though he was firmly in the plans for the rest of the season, the club is fully aware that offers from outside are always rare, hence the nod by the club to let him leave.
“We thank him for his on-field returns as a midfielder, and his dedication to the team. We wish him the very best in his new endeavor,” Otieno is quoted by the club’s portal.
The player has been a cog in City Stars squad and had featured in 16 out of 20 games this season clocking 956 regular time minutes. His last game was a starting role against Shabana in Machakos on Sunday 4 Feb 2024.
