Moses Shumah grabbed a brace as Power Dynamos overcame Kabwe Warriors 3-0

Harambee Stars striker Moses Shumah bagged another brace as Power Dynamos ran 3-0 winners over Kabwe Warriors FC in a Zambia Super League game staged at Railway Stadium on Wednesday.

The goals came days after Shumah bagged a goal to help his side to a win over Nkaana FC in the Kitwe Derby with his current strikes taking his season’s tally to 20.

Shumah found the back of the net just two minutes after kick-off, latching onto a defence-splitting pass from Fredrick Mulambia. Nine minutes later, the pair combined again as Mulambia squared the ball to Shumah who grabbed his and his club’s second to put the game beyond their opponents.

Warriors did not know what hit them as two turned into three for Power, thanks to a potential contender for goal of the season by midfielder Daniel Adoko in the 27th minute. The combative midfielder pounced on a loose ball in midfield and unleashed a thunderbolt into the roof of the net to seal the game with a third goal.

The game wasn’t less of drama as goalkeeper Mulenga was sent off for handling the ball outside the 18-yard box in the 90th minute. With all substitutions already used, holding midfielder Owen Tembo was forced into goal, stepping up to see out the eight minutes of added time.

The victory saw Dynamos move seven points clear at the top of the table, with 61 points from 27 matches.

Shumah will be hoping to increase on his tally when Dynamos face Konkola Blades FC in their next league game set for Saturday 18, April 2026.
