Harambee Stars striker Moses Shummah ascended to the top of the Zambia Super League goal scorers chart following their 3-2 win over Zesco United over the weekend.
The victory also saw Dynamos open a five-point gap at the top of the table after Red Arrows went 2-1 down to FC Muza.

Shumah opened the scoring in the 18th minute but Zesco, who had Kenyan keeper Levis Opiyo out of the match day squad, restored parity three minutes past the half-hour mark through Amine Hiver. The forward then struck again seven minutes later to put Zesco into the lead but Shummah had other ideas.
Five minutes past the hour mark, Shummah restored parity for the defending Champions before notching what proved to be the winner ten minutes from time.
It was the player’s maiden hattrick in the Zambian top flight with the goals coming just days after grabbing a brace in Dynamo’s win over Green Buffaloes.
Shummah has now scored 12 goals, two above his closest challenger Albert Kangwanda of Red Arrows, and will hope to add to his tally when they face FC Muza in their next game.
