Paris Saint Germain and Morocco defender Achraf Hakimi has been charged with rape the AFP reports.
It has been reported by Le Parisien that a 24-year-old woman from Fontenay-sous-Bois in the Parisian suburbs, went to a local police station last Sunday claiming that she had been raped by the former Inter Milan man.

Although she reportedly did not want to press charges, the police officer on duty is said to have immediately notified his superiors at both local and regional police headquarters due to the severity of the allegations.
The Moroccan’s lawyer, Fanny Colin, has denied the accusations, while the Ligue 1 leaders are standing in support of their player. “The accusations are false. He is calm and is making himself available to the authorities”, Colin said.

Hakimi was in attendance at FIFA’s The Best ceremony on Monday, on the same evening that Le Parisien broke the news. The Moroccan international is now under legal supervision. Hakimi was in training with PSG this Friday morning at the Camp des Loges.
