Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as Everton manager, leaving the Merseyside club after a five-match winless run.
The Toffees are in 16th position in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone. Everton beat Peterborough 2-0 in the third round of the FA Cup on Thursday evening, where former and current full-backs Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman took interim charge.

The former Burnley boss was set to depart Everton in the summer at the expiry of his contract, but The Friedkin Group decided to pull the plug after a run of five games without a win.
A statement from the club read: “Everton Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as Senior Men’s First Team Manager with immediate effect.
“The process to appoint a new manager is under way and an update will be provided in due course.
Baines entered Everton’s age-group coaching set-up upon retirement in 2020 and was most recently the Under-18s head coach. Along with Coleman, the former England international oversaw Everton’s safe passage into the fourth round, thanks to goals from Beto and Iliman Ndiaye.
Several members of Dyche’s backroom staff have also left the club, including Ian Woan, Steve Stone, Mark Howard, and Billy Mercer.
Everton currently occupy 16th position in the Premier League, sitting just one point above the relegation zone and four points behind Crystal Palace in 15th.
