Bondeni FC will compete in the 2026/27 FKF Division One League after the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT) adopted a consent agreement between the parties involved in a long-running football dispute.
The ruling, issued on June 15, 2026, brings to an end Case No. SDTSC/E084/2025 involving Bernard Lagat, Abdulatif and four others against Harold Ndege, Peter Kamau alias Kasskass and two others.

During a mention before the Tribunal, counsel representing the appellants informed the panel that all parties had reached a settlement and filed a consent dated May 4, 2026. The respondents confirmed the agreement and raised no objection to its adoption.
The Tribunal subsequently adopted the consent as a formal order of the court and marked the matter as settled.
As part of the orders, Bondeni FC, listed as the sixth appellant in the case, was formally admitted into the FKF Division One League for the 2026/27 season. The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) was also directed to issue the club with a promotion letter and facilitate its participation in the upcoming Division One campaign.
The decision clears the way for Bondeni FC to take part in league fixtures next season, ending uncertainty over the club’s status and securing its place in Kenya’s third-tier football competition.
