Club treasurer Gerphas Okuku expressed gratitude to supporters for turning out to back the team, acknowledging their contribution to the matchday earnings.

“To every fan who stood with the team against Bandari, a huge thanks to you. Your presence made the difference; 5,583 tickets were sold and raised a total of KSh 1,632,100,” the club said in a statement.

“Your unwavering support is always appreciated.”

The latest collection was KSh 61,000 lower than the KSh 1,693,100 earned during Gor Mahia’s previous home fixture against Murang’a Seal in their season opener.

On the pitch, K’Ogalo continued their impressive start to the campaign, registering a third consecutive victory to maintain their perfect record.

Midfielder Alpha Onyango scored seven minutes after the hour mark to secure the narrow win against Bandari and ensure the champions collected maximum points.

Gor Mahia had previously defeated Murang’a Seal 4-2 before edging APS Bomet 1-0.

The results leave the record Kenyan champions top of the 18-team league standings with nine points from three matches as they pursue a record-extending 23rd league title.
