Harambee Starlets group opponents in the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), Algeria, have named an experienced 26-player squad for the tournament set to be hosted in Morocco.
Head coach Farid Benstiti has banked on a blend of experience and attacking depth for the tournament in Morocco.

Benstiti has named three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders and nine forwards, signalling his intent to give the North Africans plenty of options in attack as they chase a place in the knockout stages.
The squad will spearhead Algeria’s campaign in Group A, where they have been drawn alongside hosts Morocco, Senegal and Kenya. Algeria will be hoping the selected squad can guide them out of what is widely viewed as one of the tournament’s toughest groups.
For Kenya’s Harambee Starlets, the announcement offers an early glimpse of the players they are likely to face when the two sides meet in their final group match. The Starlets open their campaign against hosts Morocco before taking on Senegal three days later.
