Title on the Line as Gor Mahia Clash Venue Changed, Ticket Prices Reduced

The FKF Premier League tie between Mara Sugar FC and Gor Mahia FC in the penultimate round of the league has been moved to Wangúru Stadium in Mwea.

Originally scheduled to take place at Green Stadium in Awendo, the match has now been moved after the Football Kenya Federation flagged the venue over security concerns. The change comes with growing anticipation as Gor Mahia stand on the verge of clinching the 2025/26 league crown.

To boost fan attendance, hosts Mara have revised gate charges, reducing regular tickets from Ksh500 to Ksh300, while VIP access will remain at Ksh1,000.

The stakes could not be higher for K’Ogalo. Victory on Sunday would hand them the FKF Premier League title with one match still left to play, sealing their 22nd league championship and further extending their status as Kenya’s most successful football club.

The prospect of wrapping up the title early is expected to draw huge support, with fans eager to witness another chapter in the club’s rich history.
