APS Bomet have taken another major step toward FKF Premier League survival after securing a vital 2-0 win over Bandari at Kwale Stadium on Wednesday, 20 May.
The visitors, who arrived in Kwale riding on a five-match winning streak, once again showed their resilience in the relegation battle, with second-half heroics from Hillary Juma sealing all three points.

The former Kakamega Homeboyz midfielder broke the deadlock in the 67th minute before doubling the lead in the first minute of stoppage time to confirm both victory and a clean sheet for Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omolo’s side.
After a goalless first half, Bomet grew stronger as the match progressed, continuing a remarkable late-season surge that has all but guaranteed their top-flight status. The win was their third in a row over that period, following similar victories against KCB and Mathare United.
That run has lifted them to 12th on the log with 40 points, placing them in a commanding position with two games remaining. Teams below them now face an almost impossible combination of results and goal swings to catch up, especially with some still scheduled to play each other.

Bandari, meanwhile, suffered their seventh defeat of the campaign and remain 10th with 41 points, extending their winless run to six matches.
Beyond the football, the victory also continued a remarkable financial boost for the APS Bomet squad. The win marked the third time the team has benefited from a cash reward after club patron and CS Kipchumba Murkomen pledged Ksh50,000 for every player and official in the matchday squad for each win in their final five games of the season.
