Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has warned Shabana FC over the use of smoke bombs and other prohibited pyrotechnics by a section of its supporters during their recent SportPesa League clash against AFC Leopards.
In a communique dated October 28, 2026, the federation expressed concern over the incident witnessed at Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday, October 25, when the two sides played out a draw.

FKF noted that the incident occurred despite an earlier directive issued to all 18 SportPesa League clubs on October 23, reiterating the ban on flares, smoke bombs, fireworks and other pyrotechnics inside stadiums and their surrounding areas on match days.
The federation has instructed Shabana to take immediate measures to communicate the directive to its supporters and prevent similar incidents at future matches.
FKF further cautioned that any recurrence could attract disciplinary sanctions under the applicable regulations. It also urged the club to work closely with match organisers and security personnel to ensure compliance with match-day rules and protect the safety of spectators.
The warning comes as Shabana prepare to face Migori Youth on Thursday, October 29, with the club expected to ensure its supporters adhere to the federation’s regulations.
