FKF Vice President McDonald Mariga has convened a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting for November 4, just three days before the federation’s scheduled Special General Meeting (SGM) on November 7.

In a notice dated October 26, 2026, Mariga cites Article 38(2) of the FKF Constitution as the basis for convening the meeting, which is scheduled to take place at Tamarind Hotel in Nairobi.

The notice states that the meeting follows two previous NEC meetings that were not held, citing unresolved governance concerns and the need to deliberate on matters facing the federation.

According to the agenda, members are expected to confirm the quorum, adopt the agenda, deliberate on conflicts of interest, discuss submissions by NEC members and consider matters arising from previous meetings. The agenda also includes a review of committee reports and compliance with governance procedures.

The timing places the NEC meeting immediately before the November 7 SGM, where the conduct of seven NEC members is expected to be discussed, adding significance to the upcoming deliberations amid continuing leadership tensions within FKF.
