Harambee Stars defender Frank Odhiambo has ended his loan spell with Swedish side IF Karlstad, the club has confirmed.
The former Gor Mahia center back joined the club in March 2025 on a season long loan from Djugarden IF with the club confirming that they have sent the player back to his parent club ahead of the new season.

“Frank Odhiambo is leaving Karlstad Football and we say a big thank you for your time at the club,” the club said in a statement.
In his stint at Karlstad, Odhiambo managed 23 games, eleven of which came from the start and notched three goals and one assist during his time at the club. His outing helped the club to a fourth place finish last season in the Ettan Norra (the country’s third tier).
It remains to be seen if Djugarden will once again loan the player in his final season with the club as his contract expires on the last day of 2026.
Since his arrival at Djugardens in 2022, the defender is yet to feature in a competitive game for the club and has been loaned out to four clubs. In his first year in Sweden, he was loaned to IFK Haninge before having loan stints with Vasalund IF, AFC Eskilstuna and then Karlstad.
